2017 best case studies: iaelyon awarded as “Top Institution” for the 4th times in a row.

Host of awards for iaelyon during the last ceremony organized by the CCMP (Organization for case studies and media studies): “Top Institution”, “Top author” (awarded to Ulrike Mayrhofer), “Top Marketing case study” (awarded to Ulrike Mayrhofer and Claire Roederer) and the “CJD (Center for Junior Managers)-CCMP of the best SME case study” (rewarding Catherine Mercier-Suissa, Pierre-Olivier Eric and Céline Bouveret-Rivat).

The CCMP from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an award ceremony on May 30th, 2017 in Paris.

The “Top Institution” award rewarding the institution whose new published case studies had the broadest diffusion in 2016 was awarded to iaelyon for the fourth times in a row. Faculty often publish case studies, especially in the fields of marketing, strategy, human resources management and international management.

The “Top Author” award rewarding the author whose new published case studies had the broadest diffusion in 2016 was awarded to Ulrike Mayrhofer for the cases “La marque Swatch, un succès mondial” (The Swatch brand : a global success – co-written with Claire Roederer, EM Strasbourg ) “Reverse Magnet, une start-up à l’international” ( Reverse Magnet: a start-up going global- written with Noémie Dominguez, iaelyon), “Audi à la conquête des marchés internationaux” (Audi is conquering international markets - written with Sylvie Hertrich, EM Strasbourg) and “Danone : Un leader mondial de l’industrie agro-alimentaire” (Danone: a global leader of the agri-food industry - written avec Sylvie Hertrich, EM Strasbourg, and Michel Kalika, iaelyon.)

The “Top Author” award was granted to Ulrike Mayrhofer for the eleventh time.

The “Top Marketing case study” rewarding the marketing case with the broadest diffusion within the higher education institutions in 2016 was awarded to Ulrike Mayrhofer and Claire Roederer for the case “La marque Swatch, un succès mondial” (The Swatch brand : a global success). The study case focuses on the international growth of the Swatch group and the brand strategy to sell the watches and jewelries of the Swatch brand.


The “CJD-CCMP of the best SME case study” award was granted to Catherine Mercier-Suissa, Pierre-Olivier Eric (a graduate from the General Management Master’s in executive education whose thesis focuses on this topic) and Céline Bouveret-Rivat (IUT de Saint Etienne) for the case “Kleuster : innovation et écomobilité dans les marchés internationaux” (Kleuster: innovation and ecomobility in international markets.). The case study focuses on the internationalization of a Lyon start-up specialized in eco-friendly urban mobility solutions.

iaelyon has developed a well-known expertise in creating and moderating case studies. Faculty often publish case studies elaborated in link with companies. The case studies are used in the iaelyon Bachelor’s and the Master’s program and in the MBA and in other Schools of Management and Universities in France and abroad.
