Objectifs
“Think big… Think International”
Executive MBA, part-time 11 months (September-July).
The IAE Lyon IMBA offers an integrative perspective of the organization. It is a unique program featuring a number of guest speakers from around the world who come and share their knowledge and expertise with participants during very interactive sessions, exposing them to best management practices.
Because of its flexible, part-time format, the International MBA allows participants to pursue their professional occupations while completing the program and therefore minimize any potential disruption for both the student and her/his employer. The program welcomes carefully selected participants as well as teaching staffs coming from a wide variety of academic and professional backgrounds. These backgrounds are not only diverse; they are also complementary and combined to make the IMBA a unique opportunity to learn from each other. This is not only a year where participants learn a great deal, this is for them a career-changing move, a year where they tremendously grow both from a personal and professional standpoint.
The goal is to better prepare participants to be effective global managers who can understand the overall environment, organization, employees and the customers. Participants will inherently learn to be more effective cross culturally because of the international diversity of their classmates and their professors. The IMBA curriculum not only put the emphasis on the theoretical and practical aspects of management but encompasses on how these techniques should be adapted and applied in various parts of the world.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Our program is dedicated to executives; therefore applicants must possess:
- a bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 180 ECTS of Higher Education in European standards)
- a minimum of 3 years work experience
- a very good command of Business English
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Participants must provide the following documents with their application form:
- a cover letter
- 2 letters of recommendation
After examining each application form, successful candidates will be interviewed, either face to face or by teleconference for international people in order to evaluate their professional project and inner motivation.

More than focusing on core business competences, the IMBA is on the cutting –edge of executive training offering a dynamic environment and a culturally diverse student population. The IMBA 11-month executive curriculum, targeted for working professionals, will be taught on Friday and Saturday. It represents a unique opportunity to gain and strengthen skills that will enable them to be more efficient on the global scene.

The teaching methodology is based on the belief that integrating on a practical point of view knowledge, tools, and skills is the most powerful mix to get that global understanding of the complexity of the firm.

"Daniel Franco est, lui, un récent diplômé de l'IAE Lyon où il a obtenu un International MBA. Je voulais donner une nouvelle orientation à ma carrière, explique cet ingénieur brésilien expatrié en France par son entreprise, Rhodia. J'ai choisi un MBA compatible avec mon activité et enseigné en anglais car je n'étais pas encore assez confortable en français. Pendant la formation, pas un week-end libre et beaucoup de travail sur les études de cas. Mais le jeu en vaut la chandelle."
