MIB EPAS Consortium: annual meeting at Sheffield Business School.

On Friday, December 9th all the members of the MIB EPAS Consortium met in Sheffield to talk in further details about ongoing projects and exchange on actions to come.

Launched in June 2015, the MIB EPAS Consortium is an elite network of EPAS accredited Master’s programs in the field of International Management. 

Representatives from all the member institutions attended the meeting hosted by Sheffield Business School: 

  • iaelyon School of Management: Jérôme RIVE, Dean iaelyon and President of the MIB EPAS Consortium and Mathilde DESPLANS, International Communication and Projects Officer
  • Lappeenranta University of Technology: Olli KUIVALAINEN, Manager International Affairs 
  • RISEBA University : Iveta LUDVIGA, International Business and MBA Program Director
  • Sheffield Business School: Nigel JONES, Program  Leader Postgraduate International Business and Marketing Courses and Andrew JOHNSTON, Principal Lecturer in International Business and Research Lead at Sheffield Business School, Kate MORSE Head of Education Partnerships International, Europe and UK
  • University of Economics (VSE Prague) : Hana MACHKOVÁ Rector, Josef TAUSER Dean Faculty of International Relations, Ludmila STĚRBOVÁ Academic Director of the International Business Master’s program
  • University of Vaasa: Minnie KONTKANEN, Manager Master’s Degree Program in International Business  




After a welcome address and introductions by Professor Kevin KERRIGAN, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Sheffield Business School, Ann NORTON, Interim Deputy Dean and Head of Department of Management and Alexandra ANDERSON, Head of External Accreditation, the participants made a tour of the Sheffield Hallam University campus and discovered its infrastructures.

Participants then shared a Christmas lunch before taking part in a formal meeting to discuss potential new ways of collaboration: double-degree opportunities between member institutions, exchange of staff and ideas through mobility and joint projects and events, organization of common workshops… thus enhancing the quality and privileged relationships between the member institutions. 

The next MIB EPAS Consortium meeting will be hosted by the University of Vaasa in August 2017.
