The « Governance, Social Responsibility and Global Performance » Group brings together around fifteen IAE Lyon academic staff members and Ph.D students. With the increasing importance of business ethical questions and, above all of sustainable development, the place and the role of companies in society are even more seriously questioned since the beginning of the year 2000.
The development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) invites a revision of the notion of company performance, evaluation and governance. Laws, rules, charts and criteria both at national and international level force companies to measure and account differently for their economic, social and ecological performances.
CSR and overall performance are at the crossroads of several Management Science disciplines (Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Control …) and require a multi-disciplinary approach including a dialogue with Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines. It also raises specific research questions regarding companies’ size, sectors of activity (industry, services…) and aims (public sector and non profit).

The « Innovation, Networks and Territories » Research Group gathers around fifteen IAE Lyon academic staff members and Ph.D. students.
At time of globalisation, companies rediscover the advantages of a location meeting their expectations, the role of positive externalities on their competitiveness and the critical role of local positioning in terms of access to intangible resources.
Attracting and customizing companies with regard to a territory, helping in new business start-up, valuing and revitalizing human resources, stimulating innovation, etc. are part of the numerous initiatives led jointly by authorities and companies.
These research topics mobilize the whole range of Management Sciences : Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Information Systems … and require a multi-disciplinary approach including a dialogue with Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines, and in particular with Economic and Political Sciences, Sociology and Economic Geography. It also raises questions regarding the nature of the participating bodies (public, private, hybrid), their aim and their action plans.
