Faculty staff members and PhD students carry out their activities within disciplinary teams and cross-disciplinary groups at the MAGELLAN Research Center.

THE MAGELLAN RESEARCH CENTER focuses on strategic  management, advanced information systems design, communicating information systems, marketing,  financial analysis and business finance, employment organization and relationship, the socio-economic theory of organizations and the theory of business intervention.

Cross-disciplinary groups bring together Faculty staff  members around collective projects related to international management, global performance, sustainable development and  the links between management, innovation and territories.

The teams working at the MAGELLAN Research Center offer both in-depth, functional and cross-disciplinary management research approaches, providing concrete answers to business needs.

All motivated students may apply for Research. In the first year of Master, a seminar preparing for Research is part of the program design. In the second year of Master, one can choose to qualify for Research Programs or for the “Research” path avalaible in the fourth semester of any program specialization.

IAE Lyon offers also an optional module entitled « Elaboration of a Management Research Project » which targets mainly professionnal Master 2 students. It aims at introducing them to research activities, to teach them research methods and help them prepare a thesis project as future Ph.D students.
