Objectifs
Hands-on course to explore the essential concepts on project management, moving from Design Thinking to ensure customer centricity to all the phases of a project lifecycle. When to use Agile, when to use Waterfall, and when to mix both.

Historically, companies were focus almost exclusively on financial results. This fact is changing because the notion of value perceived by stakeholders is changing too. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a new old idea where the corporate sector incorporates social and environmental concerns in its strategies and plays a more responsible role in the world.
Projects that aim to have a positive impact on society needs to succeed. And in other to succeed those project needs the properly identify value, to have the right structure, to define the right goals, to administrate the means to finally capture vale for stakeholders.

TARGETED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Understand the project management life cycle in order to manage a project from the idea to its realization.
- Understand Design Thinking to properly define Project Scope and then ensure customer centricity.
- Be able to choose between a predictive project management approach or an agile project management approach. Be able to understand when and how combinate them.
- Develop leadership skills and techniques to work with others to complete projects effectively and efficiently.
- Acquire knowledge of how project management impacts strategy and business success by understanding Portfolio Management.
- Utilize change management practices to ensure end user acceptance.

- Business case presentation (by the client)
- Introduction to Service Design (for scope definition)
- Hands-on activity to identify the best possible solution
- Introduction to agile methodology (Project Management)
- Hands-on activity to structure the project plan
- Introduction to Change Management
- Hands-on activity to structure the change management related activities
- Each MBA candidate presents their outcomes and recommendations to the client
- Client feedback
At the end of the day, the MBA candidate should:
- be able to understand the main project management methodologies to have better chances to succeed managing a project
- have applied at least one of these methodologies
- be able to identify and manage project key success factors

This course consists in solving a real business problem for a local company. The company describes the problem, and the MBA candidates will frame the problem, propose creative solutions, define the project scope and structure the project plan to deliver a realistic solution.
