The ceremony was held in the presence of Christian Varinard, Dean of iaelyon, Anass Nidam, Executive Dean and Director of International Activities, Michel Kalika, President of the Business Science Institute and Professor Emeritus of iaelyon, and Marie-Christine Chalus-Sauvannet, Academic Director of the Executive DBA Business Science Institute -iaelyon.

14 nationalities represented

The 21 graduates of the class of 2020, representing 14 nationalities, were virtually awarded their degree, at the end of a graduation ceremony held online, which could not have affected the conviviality of the event.

Christian Varinard opened the ceremony by celebrating the quality of the partnership “created 7 years ago between iaelyon and the Business Science Institute in developing the Executive Doctor of Business Administration, the diploma whose reputation has only increased throughout the years”.
Anass Nidam then hailed the fact that the “diploma received the prestigious international AMBA accreditation for a 3 year duration last December” and pointed out that this is perfectly in line with iaelyon’s strategy and investment in international accreditation processes. 

Each thesis advisor then presented in a few words, each of the theses of the doctors that they had accompanied for three years, highlighting a privileged relationship that had been built over several years.

Michel KALIKA, President of the Business Science Institute acknowledged the wonderful recognition that this diploma represented but also the necessity for doctors to share their research in order to contribute to the evolution of managerial practices:

“As you already know, the award of a DBA degree qualification is a significant form of recognition.
For me, as President of Business Science Institute, this is only one of the objectives of the DBA process. The second one is to create impact based on your research.
And when I talk about DBA impact, I’m thinking not only of academic impact (some of our graduates have already published articles in academic journals), I’m also thinking about managerial impact and impact for Society. I encourage you to publish, to disseminate your results through books, through articles in professional journals, through conferences, and so on. “
