Objectifs

The course aims at highlighting how the supply chain strategy and execution plays an instrumental role in enabling the successful roll-out of a corporate strategy towards its market, customers and environment.

It covers a comprehensive introduction to the following aspects of supply chain management :
  • SCOR model as a reference framework to the end to end supply chain scope 
  • Customer service & customer satisfaction
  • Make & source
  • Operational Excellence – LEAN
  • Logistics (deliver & return)
  • Plan (risk management, S&OP, demand & supply planning)
  • CSR
  • Trends & perspectives : AI, sustainability, risk management, collaboration

The pedagogical approach associates :
  • Introduction to theoretical & academic concepts & background
  • Illustration with practical “real life” business cases & discussion / Q&A
  • Group practical business cases & debrief :
    • Supply chain strategy & connection with business / customer expectations
    •  “Beer game” simulation
  • Interactive Q&A around participants business cases

Estimation du temps de travail personnel (en dehors des cours) : 2 hours (follow-up to ensure the content has been well grasped and is applicable in personal business context)

CSR DIMENSION

The critical contribution of the end-to-end supply chain in the CSR impact and strategy of corporations is highlighted, with a focus on the following aspects :
  • Non financial reporting (f.i. CSRD)
  • Environmental (GHG emissions, biodiversity, water & marine resources, circular economy, extended supply chain)
  • Social (working conditions, human rights, diversity & inclusion, value chain impacts)
  • Governance (compliance, anti-corruption, risk management)

TARGETED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The course aims at highlighting how the supply chain strategy and execution plays an instrumental role in enabling the successful roll-out of a corporate strategy towards its market, customers and environment.

At the end of the course, the students will have an understanding of the structuring concepts, tools, KPIs and contribution to the business in the following areas of supply chain :
  • SCOR model as a reference framework to the end to end supply chain scope 
  • Customer service & customer satisfaction
  • Make & source
  • Operational Excellence – LEAN
  • Logistics (deliver & return)
  • Plan (risk management, S&OP, demand & supply planning)
  • CSR
  • Trends & perspectives : AI, sustainability, risk management, collaboration
They will have had the opportunity to be exposed to practical cases (business cases proposed by the lecturer, and real life cases shared by students in their experience) to identify the appropriate approaches, tools and understand the interactions & interdependencies – within the supply chain and with the business / other departments/end-to-end stakeholders (supplies/customers/environment).
