Objectifs

This course concerns the principles of intercultural management. Students will get familiar with different paradigms and models in this field. In a globalized world where professionals and individuals are more and more often exposed to different cultures the need of deeper understanding of the impact of culture on behavior, learning styles, leadership and management is crucial for future managers. The aim of this course is to provide participants with some of the most common concepts and models in intercultural management in order to have a “toolbox” at hand when analyzing, interpreting and managing intercultural situations.
Estimation of private study (outside of contact hours) : 20 hours

TEACHING INNOVATIONS AND USE OF TECHNOLOGY
Students have to create a video about an intercultural encounter, describing this encounter, doing a cultural activity with their partner (eg. visit the city, go to the theater, a museum, a concert, a soccer game, a bar, a local market, cook together...), using learning models to analyze this intercultural encounter, reflecting on benefits and limits of the learned models. (Detailed instructions will be handed out during the cours)
