TEACHING METHODS
This course consists in solving a real business problem for a company of the Rhône-Alps region. The company provides an international and strategic issue that they ask the IMBA participants to resolve within a 3 to 4 weeks period.

The participants have the challenge to deliver useful and applicable recommendations for the company.

3 key moments of the project are the kick-off meeting & company visit during the first session, the questions and answers session with the company (limited to some of the participants) and the final presentation of the deliverables at the end.

During the course participants will learn how to work, act and think as a business consultant: project management skills, structured problem solving approach, team and self management, clients' management, presentation techniques and skills.

To guarantee tangible outcomes with a real benefit for the participants and the company (winwin- situation), the participants are coached and guided by a professional in consulting and international development.

Pedagogical methods and tools: PPT presentation, videos, individual and group work, break-out sessions, class discussions and presentations.

Participants should have a solid knowledge in international management and a good understanding of the major functions within a company.
First experience and knowledge about project management are helpful.
The course offers also the possibility (if wished for by the participants) to take on new roles or styles: e.g. project manager, team leader in order to develop and improve team management and leadership skills.
