The internet has been one of the most disruptive innovations ever. It changed how we interact with friends, family, colleagues, and clients. It also opened the gateway to advanced virtual experiences – like the Metaverse - that are expected to revolutionize the way we communicate, shop, work and even travel. 

A lot of people talk about it, the media has the new digital world on its front pages, but little people really know what it is all about and how the Metaverse might shape the world of tomorrow.

To get more knowledgeable about it and to discover advantages and possible drawbacks of the Metaverse as well as the possibilities to use it in business, Morgane SOULIER, expert of new technologies, digital communication, Metaverse and Nft as well as entrepreneur and author (« Metaverse, comprendre le monde qui vient », Editions Grasset, October 2023) will share her expertise and experience.


Join us on June 24th,2023 at 1 pm at the iaelyon (Salle Jean-Baptiste Say) to learn more about the “Metaverse” and experience with the current and former IMBA participants what it means to navigate in this new digital world. You will create your own avatar and enter the metaverse. This hands-on approach will give you a first appreciation of the possibilities and limits of this new virtual world. In the form of a World Café you will then have the possibility to discuss and think further about existing or future business applications, major concerns like data security and necessary changes in management and leadership styles.

Program:

1 pm: Welcome of the participants at the iaelyon – Salle Jean-Baptiste SAY

1:15 pm: Conference & Introduction "The Metaverse and the digital world to come”

2 - 3 pm: Live session: Creating your avatar and entering the Metaverse

3 - 4 pm: World Café: Peer-to-peer discussion about different aspects of the Metaverse (business applications, major concerns, new leadership styles)

After the conference there is the possibility to continue the discussions in an informal setting in one of the pubs next to the Manufacture des Tabacs.

THE INTERNATIONAL MBA

The iaelyon IMBA is a unique executive program, entirely taught in English over 11 months. International guest speakers, professors and practitioners come to share their knowledge and expertise with a culturally diverse classroom.
