Join Tania Tam and Philippe Simonin for an immersive, interactive workshop on the human skills that drive innovation: resilience and creative conflict management.
In today’s rapidly evolving world, technical skills alone don’t cut it. Innovation depends on how we handle the uncomfortable: failure, feedback, and friction.
This workshop goes beyond theory. You’ll dive into real-world challenges, guided by behavioral science and fueled by stories from Silicon Valley Tech Startups. Expect surprising insights, practical strategies, and meaningful connection.

Workshop Agenda

  • 2:00–2:15 PM | Welcome & Icebreaker
Spark connection, share a laugh, and kick off with good energy.

  • 2:15–3:15 PM | Rewire for Resilience
Interactive activities and reflections on innovation and failure.

  • 3:30–5:00 PM | Navigating Conflict
Explore your conflict style, practice real scenarios, and engage in bold conversations.

About the speakers

Tania Tam, Ph.D. is a behavioral scientist and professor of international relations whose work has taken her across 25+ countries and institutions including the United Nations, NATO, USAID, the Red Cross, and tech innovators like Airbnb.
A graduate of Oxford and UC Berkeley, she brings a unique lens at the intersection of psychology, global strategy, and social change.

Tania specializes in helping people lead through uncertainty, turn failure into forward momentum, and transform conflict into opportunity. She’s known for blending evidence-based insights with warm, human-centered facilitation.

Philippe Simonin, an IMBA graduate, is a global technology leader with a career spanning three continents and some of the most transformative sectors in mobility. His Engineering career took him from France to Sweden and Asia to work on cutting-edge automotive projects to lately work in the Silicon Valley, where he has led high-impact programs in autonomous vehicle start-ups for both passenger cars and freight trucks. He is currently launching a start-up to decarbonize the construction industry.

What makes Philippe’s perspective especially valuable is his lived experience across contrasting work cultures. He brings deep insight into the work-life balanced, collective culture of Sweden, as well as the high-speed, innovation-focused intensity of Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem. His reflections on collaboration, leadership, and adaptation across these environments offer powerful lessons for anyone navigating global teams or driving change in complex systems.
