Published on February 10, 2025 – Updated on April 7, 2025
On February 6, 2025, in Paris, students from the Master’s in Financial Auditing won first place at the 5th edition of HackAudit, the innovation contest organized by the “Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes.” (National company of external auditors”) The final brought together over 200 professionals from the sector. The iaelyon team prevailed against four other finalist teams after a decisive pitch and an experimental demonstration of their prototype before a panel of experts.
A Prestigious Contest
The 2024 HackAudit set a participation record, with over 40 teams registered and 152 students from 20 partner campuses, all tasked to work on the theme:How can AI or generative AI assist external auditors in carrying out their financial and non-financial auditing missions?
After an initial selection phase, only 14 projects were chosen to further develop their ideas with the support of specialized mentors. Then, five finalist teams had the opportunity to present their solutions in real-world conditions, in front of an audience of financial professionals and audit experts. An Innovative Solution for Contract Auditing
Florie Acurcio, Charles Gindre, Tristan Leduc, Hassan Osman and Audrey Sanial, all students in the Master’s in Financial Auditing, developed ClauseScan, a generative AI model designed to optimize contract analysis in auditing.Their statement: Manual contract review is a time-consuming and complex task, leading to cognitive overload and standardization issues.
Their Solution? An intelligent assistant that automates clause analysis, provides instant translations, and helps identify risks. Accessible through the CNCC portal and integrated with auditing software, ClauseScan would be offered to firms on a subscription basis.

The Master’s in Financial Auditing: A Lasting Partnership with the Profession, Represented by the CNCC and the CRCC Lyon-Riom
Since the creation of the program in 2016, the ties with the profession have only strengthened, and iaelyon’s participation in HackAudit is the latest example. In both 2023 and 2024, the winning team came from the Master’s in Financial Auditing,"
Sophie Lépine, Program Director
"The employment rate for the Master’s in Financial Auditing is close to 100% before the end of the program, which confirms its alignment with the needs of audit firms, explains Sophie Lepine.
I would like to thank the CRCC Lyon-Riom teams for their trust, especially Jean François Mallen, President, and Cédric Desachy, Vice-President since November 1, 2024, as well as Olivier Arthaud, President, and Sylvain Boccon-Gibod, Vice-President until that date.
I also want to thank Stéphane Van Hoof, Secretary General of CRCC Lyon-Riom, and the CNCC teams, including Sid-Ali Hamel, Martine Bonnier, and Frédéric Campart from Stationnext, for their continued support.
None of this would have been possible without the support of Marie-Christine Chalus, Dean of iaelyon, François Lantin, Director and Founder of CLEA @iaelyon (Lyon Center for Accounting Expertise and Audit), and, of course, the students of the Master’s in Financial Auditing."
We warmly congratulate the winners for their perseverance and commitment!
