iaelyon International Week: The Global Village Experience in Lyon

Since its launch in 2007, iaelyon International Week has continuously evolved, making this annual event a true concentration of intercultural experiences.
Every year, 2,000 Master’s students and MBA participants experience the spirit of the global village in the heart of Lyon.

Designed for Master’s students and professionals in executive education programs, these 18-hour management courses are taught in English and Spanish by lecturers from universities and business schools around the world.

Nearly 80 seminars provide participants with an international and intercultural perspective on cross-disciplinary or specialized topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, AI, CSR, and more.

Today, iaelyon International Week brings together in Lyon more than fifty speakers from around 30 countries.

Since 2014, iaelyon students have had the opportunity to attend International Week off-shore seminars.

Since 2016, an off-shore seminar has been organized at VSE Prague, the largest university of economics in Central Europe and a long-standing partner of iaelyon.

Since 2023, students have also been able to complete the off-shore seminar at Kingston University (London).

Since 2025, off-shore seminars have been held in Warsaw in partnership with the French-Polish Chamber of Commerce, and from 2026 in Lisbon in partnership with the Luso-French Chamber of Commerce.

These seminars bring together professors invited for iaelyon International Week, along with faculty members, researchers, and doctoral students from the iaelyon Magellan research center, with the aim of enriching discussions and developing new projects around four cross-cutting themes:

• Entrepreneurial Ecosystems
• International Management
• Management of Cooperative and Mutual Organizations
• Sustainable Performance

An exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of corporate social responsibility. Created in 2016, the CSR Network brings together speakers from iaelyon International Week, from institutions both within and outside the PRME and UN Global Compact frameworks.

iaelyon welcomes student groups from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since 2018 and Baruch College since 2013 for two Winter School integrated into International Week. 

This program includes participation in international seminars for students, as well as cultural and professional visits in the Lyon area.

Hosting these Winter school are an opportunity to strengthen the already strong ties between iaelyon and these long-standing partners institutions.

Since 2020, an international seminar lasting three hours have been offered to iaelyon’s administrative staff.
