iaelyon Graduate+ IEIS | 2026–2027 Cohort Kicks Off with 7 New Scholarship Winners
On September 16, The Graduate+ International Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Society (IEIS) program at iaelyon School of Management welcomed its new scholarship recipients. Six students received excellence scholarships for their Master 2, and one student received a PhD scholarship The international cohort is united by a common goal: training through research in entrepreneurship and socially impactful innovation.
Graduate+ IEIS offers a selective track focused on research-based training in entrepreneurship and social-impact innovation, led by Marie-Christine Chalus and Romain Lesage.
The program combines personalized academic mentoring, research projects, and exposure to innovation ecosystems, aiming to build scientific skills while linking research to professional practice.
Six Master's excellence scholarships(2026-2027)
These scholarships are reserved for international students newly arrived at iaelyon who lived outside of France when they applied to the IEIS program.Recipients will join the Honors IEIS track alongside their research-oriented Master. .

1 bourse doctorale
This covers a three-year PhD contract at the Magellan Research Lab.Chris Nahano Balemba (DRC) received it. He is researching how open-innovation practices affect the co-creation of sustainable solutions, as well as internationalization strategies among social entrepreneurship startups. His thesis is supervised by Caroline Tarillon and Marie-Christine Chalus.
Previous years' scholars continuing their theses at the Magellan Research Lab:
- Aina Rasoamiaramanana (Madagascar) - Second year, researching on resource mobilization under scarcity for impact entrepreneurs.
- Justine Durochat (France) - Second year, researching on how entrepreneurial ecosystems support social entrepreneurs' mental health.
- Aroua Znazen (Tunisia) - Third year, researching on the role of different types of impact investment in sustaining social entrepreneurship projects.
iaelyon Graduate+ IEIS
The Graduate+ IEIS excellence program targets 2nd Year-Master and PhD students, faculty, researchers, and academic and business partners. The program aims to train researchers in entrepreneurship, fund academic excellence, connect research with practice, build an international network, and positioning iaelyon as a European hub for research-based training in entrepreneurship and social impact innovation.
