International cooperation: iaelyon strengthens its partnerships at EIAE

Published on September 2, 2025 Updated on September 15, 2025

From 9 to 12 September 2025, the EIAE (European Association for International Education) was held in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is the largest European exhibition dedicated to collaboration in the field of international education, bringing together more than 7,000 participants from over 100 countries. Our institution's participation in the event over many years has been essential in consolidating its international partnerships and fostering new collaborations around the world.

The two representatives from iaelyon, Noémie Dominguez, Assistand Dead for International Development, and Accreditations, and Claire Dissaux, International Activities Department Manager, were present at the IAE FRANCE. The gathering of the various IAE on the same stand gave greater visibility to the IAE FRANCE network, as well as strengthening links and facilitating the exchange of best practices between the participants.

The presence of iaelyon at various international events, including EIAE, has enabled it to raise its profile on the international stage and meet with its partners, some of whom are long-standing:
  • European partners: Swansea University (United Kingdom), Starthclyde University (United Kingdom), Tubingen University (Germany), University of Sheffield (United Kingdom), Mälardalen University (Sweden), Dublin City University (Ireland), Cork University Business School (Ireland)
  • North America: University of British Columbia (Canada), Carlson Minnesota (United States), University of North Carolina at Charlotte (United States), McMaster University (Canada)
These various meetings provided an opportunity to take partnerships to the next level and review ongoing exchanges, thereby enabling continuous improvement of the exchange experience for students at our institution and our partner universities.

A fruitful exchange with McMaster University in Canada

Some meetings were held in collaboration with the International Relations Department of Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, attended by Laëtitia BELOT, Coordinator of exchange programmes in Australia, New Zealand, North America and South Africa, and Fanny SOUCHON, Coordinator of the D.U. SELF. This partnership has enabled us to extend our partnerships to the university level!
