Annual Meeting of the AoM 2021: Best paper award for Sophie Le Lédan, Magellan PhD – iaelyon

Co-written by Carole Bousquet (IDRAC Business School) and Sophie Le Lédan (Magellan Research Center – iaelyon School of Management), the paper “How to accompany the evolution of the management of administrative staff in a hospital environment?” was awarded during the 81st annual meeting of the AoM (Academy of Management) organized online from July 30th to August 3rd 2021.

This article describes how an intervention research carried out in a hospital administrative service helped identify the margins for improvement of the global performance. The expertise study showed vulnerabilities to be addressed through an integrated training and reorganization. The response process adjustments, related to the health crisis and the establishment background, are useful and give specific results.

About Sophie Le Lédan

After many years of work in health, Sophie Le Lédan decided to go back to school  through a PhD, funded by a CIFRE contract, in Management Sciences at Magellan iaelyon Research Center in 2020.
Her PhD dissertation deals with activity transformation and deficit – the adjustment strategy for health care facilities. Attached to the Socio-economic Management group, this dissertation is under the supervision of Véronique Zardet.
