The Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) contributes to strengthen the bond between research and professional management practices.
Initiated by Michel KALIKA and Jean-Pierre HELFER and prefaced by Marie-Christine CHALUS this white chapter aims to promote and acknowledge the DBA and its potential to rise contemporary challenges.

The DBA which allows managers to write a doctorate thesis on a specific management challenge under the supervision of an experienced professor is a doctorate program which distinguishes itself from a PhD due to its purpose.

In an environment where companies must continually innovate while integrating sustainability and socially responsible practices, the Doctorate in Business Administration provides any expert or senior executive the tools for competitiveness and strategic renewal. “

White Chapter « Doctorate in Business Administration research management to the profit of companies” three main purposes:

 
  • Promoting the DBA: explaining the DBA’s structure and its uniqueness as well as its effect on companies while clarifying the DBA’s program and the importance of the participant’s researches on business.

  • Recognizing the DBA: gaining an official recognition of the DBA status as a full Doctoral program by public instructions 

  • Elaborating recommendations:  listing concrete measures allowing to meet the objectives mentioned above. 
These purposes emphasize the DBA’s strategic importance in bringing together research and professional management practices, as well as its potential to counter contemporary challenges.
