Executive IMBA: a co-development workshop gathers former and actual participants of the IMBA for the second time
Organized in the framework of the iaelyon’s International IMBA, the CODEV workshop took place December 15 and gathered former and current participants of the IMBA for the the second edition of this event.
Silvia Didier, IMBA’s Program director explains, “By launching this initiative, we aimed to create a moment when former and current participants of the IMBA meet and exchange, allowing them to share their professional experiences and to acquire new knowledge (working methods, tools, contents, etc.).
The idea came up as a result of an exchange between the program director and the Alumni who expressed their wish to extend their learning experience with an interactive event. After the success of the first two CODEV and Metaverse conferences in 2022-2023, the initiative was successfully renewed.
In order to improve the program, the IMBA content was rethought and a 4-hour session was added to develop this type of initiative, allowing some Alumni to join the current participants for half a day.
The next meeting will take place in June 2024.
Patrick BOÏS, Executive Coach and Founder of Luxinvia
" We have experimented a “deep work” moment with iaelyon students and Alumni interested in discovering CODEV and collective intelligence. One of the Alumni was actually participating for the second time in a row!
I appreciated the diversity of the group with people from Porto Rico, Australia, Portugal and from France, the complicity between the participants increased throughout the session and at the end they developed an emotional bond. The consultants were actively listening to the participants and it facilitated their connection. My intention was to introduce the power of CODEV, in order to create added value between them. After the two sessions, we were all surprised: they were able to rapidly adapt to the method I shared; and I was positively surprised by their maturity and ability to adapt"
Mathilde DESPLANS, International Activities Manager at iaelyon School of Management and IMBA Participant 2022-2024
“I greatly appreciated the session given by Patrick; It was the perfect opportunity to gather former participants of the IMBA with the current ones in order to reflect collectively on two subjects which we choose to work on. I found the co- development method highly efficient: we were able to find great outcomes to our problematics by benefiting from various opinions from different people. This was also an excellent reminder of the power of collective intelligence.”
Julie COLLOMB, Senior Manager Global Trade Compliance at TE Connectivity, Alumni IMBA 2016-2017
“This conference allowed us to discuss real-life situations and to share our experiences and management methods. This session strengthened the importance of collective thinking when it comes to share new perspectives for different management situations.”
Testimony of a current IMBA participant
I really appreciated the co-development session organized by iaelyon. It was the perfect occasion to explore the project initially developed by Champagne & Payette in Canada, which is very little known in my country, in the context of organizational problem solving. Problems can occur at an individual level (interpersonal problem solving), as well as at strategic level or even at an organizational level. Patrick, our lecturer, had the perfect personality to create a warm and welcoming environment which allowed the group to open up. This motivated us to participate and to share our different points of view which were for some, unexpected and surprising. Whatever solutions were offered they were not rejected by the group, instead everyone felt free to share their own perspective. Overall, we had the opportunity to learn about a great method to be applied in order to develop problem-solving skills on the professional context.
