1. How do I apply to a course?

Once your Wish List is ready, please send it by mail to iaelyon.wishlist@univ-lyon3.fr. Carène Chevalier, the academic advisor will check if your selection of each course is possible and will confirm when your admission is valid. Please do not use the intranet to apply to the course programs of the iaelyon.

2. Which course can I put in my Wish List?

Only the courses from the iaelyon can be in your Wish List. You mustn’t put the courses in FLE (French as a Second Language)/the courses in French culture and the courses from other Faculties. Please refer to the courses’ catalogue of iaelyon.

3. How can I change my selection of courses?

It is possible to make changes up to three weeks after the start of the semester only for the following case: language level, overlap, difficulty following the course (if possible, confirmed by the teacher).

You will then have to send your Wish List to iaelyon.wishlist@univ-lyon3.fr with the courses you wish to remove written in red and the courses you wish to add written in green.

For Overlapping courses: you must attend all every course, but 2 courses overlapping are tolerated. Should there be more than two overlaps, we kindly ask you to get in touch with Ms. Carène CHEVALIER (carene.chevalier@univ-lyon3.fr) in order to change your choice of courses, then send your updated wishlist on iaelyon.wishlist@univ-lyon3.fr

Ms. Carène CHEVALIER (carene.chevalier@univ-lyon3.fr) can register you on the E-Learning course. You will find the e-learning courses available on the courses catalogue.

7. Can I follow FLE class (French as a Second Language) during my exchanges?

If your level of French is equivalent to B1 minimum: The FLE courses and initiation to French culture courses are compulsory if you wish to receive the DEUF certificate.
The FLE course is worth 5 ECTS, the French culture course is worth 3 ECTS.

The francophone Belgian and Canadian students are dismissed from the French as a foreign language course but must participate in the French culture course if they wish to receive the DEUF certificate.

For those who wish to have the DEUF certificate but whose French level is below the required minimum, unfortunately we do not have French Courses for beginners (A1, A2). This said, you can participate in the DEUF program and attend English-taught courses but you won’t receive your DEUF certificate which states that you studied in French.
