“Rewire for Resilience”: closing the IMBA year with insight and inspiration

Published on July 1, 2025 Updated on July 2, 2025

The “Rewire for Resilience” conference with Tania Tam and Philippe Simonin, organized on June 28th, brought together current and former Executive MBA students for a dynamic workshop, proving that learning and networking never stop.

Mastering Essential Skills for Business Innovation and Adaptability
Dr. Tania Tam, a behavioral scientist and professor of international relations, illustrated how real-life challenges and targeted training can prepare us for stress in the business world and personal life.

Philippe Simonin, an IMBA graduate and a global technology leader, provided concrete examples of resilience in action, showing why it’s indispensable in today’s fast-paced environment.

We focused the workshop on what leaders can learn from Silicon Valley’s culture of risk and failure, where mistakes are often seen not as setbacks but as stepping stones to growth and contributing to the journey. Drawing on real stories from startups and innovators, we explored how this mindset can help professionals reframe challenges, take calculated risks, and learn more effectively.

To bring these ideas to life, we guided the students through a series of interactive exercises to develop resilience and a growth mindset and to reconsider how they interpret failure and stress—not as threats, but as potential sources of energy and insight when aligned with meaningful goals.

The iaelyon international MBA students were an absolute pleasure to work with: curious, open, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. Their questions and reflections made the workshop rich, collaborative, and inspiring."

Key takeaway: Stress can be a powerful tool—when we train our minds to harness it.

The event was also a unique opportunity for iaelyon Alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and explore new collaborations.
