Visiting Professor: Alexandra Beauregard, Birkbeck University of London

Alexandra Beauregard, Professor of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London, will be hosted by the Magellan Research Laboratory @iaelyon from May 19 to 23, 2025.

She will teach on the theme "Talent and Diversity Management" for students in Master 2 European Business Management.

This visit will also be an opportunity to launch a research project with Gregor Bouville, Professor at iaelyon School of Management, on the gendered effects of working time management on women's work-family balance.

 

Alexandra Beauregard

Alexandra Beauregard joined Birkbeck Business School in the summer of 2018.
Prior to arriving at Birkbeck, Alexandra was Associate Professor in Human Resource Management at Middlesex University Business School, Assistant Professor in Employment Relations and Organisational Behaviour at the London School of Economics' Department of Management, and Lecturer in Management (Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management) at the University of Surrey's Business School. She has also worked in social policy positions in the Government of Canada's Department of Industry, Department of Citizenship and Immigration, and the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

Her research interests are centred on the work-life interface, flexible working arrangements, and diversity, equality and inclusion, with a particular focus on gender identity and gender equality. Prof. Alexandra Beauregard’s research was published in such journals as British Journal of Management, Human Relations, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Vocational Psychology, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal.

Currently, she is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Management Reviews and sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, the British Journal of Management, and the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences.
