Executive DBA: 2024 Autumn International Seminar hosted by iaelyon

From September 25 to September 27, the iaelyon is welcoming for the first time about a hundred DBA PhD students and DBA alumni from some thirty countries, as well as around fifty university lecturers and researchers. A great opportunity to celebrate 10 years of partnership between the Business Science Institute and iaelyon. Find out more about the program.

10th anniversary of the partnership between iaelyon and the Business Science Institute

Led by Michel Kalika, President of the Business Science Institute and Professor Emeritus at the iaelyon, the program of this exceptional edition includes:

19 presentations of the Certificate of Research in Business Administration (CRBA), an important step in the thesis process, prepared and presented during the first year of the program.

22 Doctorate in Business Administration thesis will be defended before juries composed of professors and alumni. This is the formal end of the program, but the start of a new stage with doctors publishing books and articles after their thesis.

7 workshops and a seminar will be dedicated to DBA alumni, followed by an afterwork open to iaelyon graduates.

Wednesday September 25  

9:00am – 9:30am: Opening by Michel Kalika, President of the Business Science Institute and Marie-Christine Chalus, Dean of iaelyon and President of the IAE FRANCE network

9:30am – 10:15am: Opening conference by Jérôme Chabanne-Rive
“How navigating global societal challenges in a time of polycrisis while fostering a human-centered future in Management Doctoral Education: lessons -and questions- from EIASM perspective.”

6:45pm – 7:45pm: Alumni afterwork, open to iaelyon graduates (location: South Courtyard / Salon des Symboles Nord)


Friday September 27

9:00am – 10:00am: Presentation of new BSI-EMS books & Workshop “How to create managerial impact from your DBA thesis”

10:30am – 12:30am :
  • Doctor Honoris Causa award Ceremony to:
    • Jean-Philippe Courtois, President and cofounder Live for Good, President SKEMA Business School, Former EVP, President Microsoft Corp and member of the executive board
       
    • Silvia Gherardi, Senior Professor of Sociology of Work and Organization, University of Trento, Italy
       
  • Graduation ceremony
     
  • Managerial Impact Prize 2024
    This prize rewards theses with the strongest impact on a business or society.

The Doctorate in Business Administration, an innovative program for managers
