IEIS Graduate School Excellence Scholarship: call for applications open from 6th November, 2024 to January 31st, 2025

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS. Master 2 scholarship oportunity as part of the @iaelyon Graduate School "International Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Society (IEIS)". €10,000 for the academic year 2025-2026.
The IEIS Graduate School focuses on entrepreneurship and its transformative potential for society. It offers its students the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills essential for leading innovative and societal projects. At the same time, it enables high-level researchers with the ability to unite and operate in complex and international contexts to develop ambitious entrepreneurial projects and further strengthen their expertise.
The IEIS Graduate School excellence Scholarship is open to foreign students, newcomers to iaelyon School of Management – University Jean Moulin Lyon 3, and living outside of France at the time of the application (French dual citizenship allowed).
The scholarship is limited to foreign students (as described above) applying to the
IMPORTANT: Separately, at least one letter of recommendation must be sent to alicia.merle@univ-lyon3.fr. This letter has to be written by former or current professors, lecturers, tutors or supervisors. This letter must be submitted by the referee, and not directly by the applicant.
Candidates must send their application as a single file in PDF format to alicia.merle@univ-lyon3.fr before January 31st, 2025.

- Internship experiences and technical skills in research
- Motivation and consistency of the professional project
- Level of French and English
2025 timetable
The IEIS Graduate IEIS programme aims to train researchers in entrepreneurship working on an innovative, international project with societal impact (climate, health, biodiversity, greencity, smartcity, etc.).
Terms and conditions:
The IEIS Graduate School excellence Scholarship is open to foreign students, newcomers to iaelyon School of Management – University Jean Moulin Lyon 3, and living outside of France at the time of the application (French dual citizenship allowed).The scholarship is limited to foreign students (as described above) applying to the
- Master 2 Etudes et Recherche en Management (ERM)
- Master 2 Sustainable Management for International Business (SMIB)
Details of the excellence course:
- Taking courses linked to five teaching pillars: research, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainable development, international;
- Participation in two full seminars during iaelyon International Week;
- Conducting research for the CREATE team on the theme of the Graduate IEIS (integration into the Magellan research laboratory);
- Writing a Master Thesis in connection with the Graduate IEIS theme.
4 scholarships available for the academic year 2025-2026
- The amount of the scholarship is €1,000 per month for 10 months, i.e. €10,000 per year
- Scholarship recipients are also eligible for a relocation grant of €2,000.
Joining the IEIS Graduate School means benefiting from:
- An integrated curriculum with a strong international flavour, open to students of all nationalities;
- A dynamic and cosmopolitan research environment, with close links to the major international research and teaching networks and conferences in the management field (AIMS, AOM, AEI, AIREPME, EIASM, etc.);
- Invitations to events, such as the Graduate IEIS Winter School, in partnership with the International Week at iaelyon School of Management;
- Opportunities for research placements at the Magellan Laboratory or potentially at another academic institution in France or abroad.
How to apply:
The application must include:- Proof of higher education diplomas: Bachelor degree and 1st year of Master (240 ECTS for European students);
- Curriculum Vitae (1 page);
- Motivation letter: 1 page explaining the applicant’s career goals, how this Master’s programme will help the applicant to achieve them, research interest and their motivations to join iaelyon School of Management;
- Transcripts of records from Bachelor’s degree on;
- If applicable, abstracts of the candidate's previous work (e.g. dissertation, book, internship report, scientific article…);
- Certificate of English level (TOEFL, IELTS, ECRL etc.), except for English native speakers or students who have studied in English (minimum level B2);
- Certificate of French level, except for French native speakers or students who have studied in French (minimum level B2);
- Copy of an official identity document;
- Any other document deemed relevant to the assessment of the application.

About the Graduate+
The @iaelyon Graduate School was created in 2023 as part of the Graduate + project deployed by 4 establishments (Lyon 1, Lyon 3, St Etienne and ENS) with the support of the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (French National Research Agency) as part of France 2030 under the reference “ANR-21-SFRI-0001”.The IEIS Graduate IEIS programme aims to train researchers in entrepreneurship working on an innovative, international project with societal impact (climate, health, biodiversity, greencity, smartcity, etc.).
