International MBA: Study Trip 2022 at Kingston Business School (London)

Published on July 20, 2022 Updated on July 20, 2022

The 6th study trip of the iaelyon International MBA was organized for the first time at Kingston University on July 7th and 8th, 2022. An opportunity for the IMBA's students to discover the Executive MBA of a historical partner of iaelyon.

For the first time, the IMBA's students were able to participate in a new 2-day seminar that Pauline Parker, Kingston Business School MBA's Director, implemented around process automation strategies from a managerial point of view.

After an introduction from Arif Khan (UiPath), Pierre-Frédéric Barriere (Chanel, London) taught the masterclass "Process mining". Participants received feedbacks from Gavin Honour and Timothy Kok (Morpheus Group) before working in groups on a practical case, led by Danny Maylin.

A cruise diner on the Thame brough together all the students, the MBA's Director (Silvia Didier) and the speakers.

Silvia Didier, IMBA Program Director

This study trip enabled us to grow our networks: from an educational point of view by developing our relationship with the Kingston MBA's team and a work-related network for English and French participants of both MBA.

Kingston Business School, iaelyon's partner since 1994

AACSB and EFMD accredited, Kingston University Business School regularly welcomes iaelyon exchange students.
Other initiatives promote the partnership: study trip for DCG and DSCG students (2016, 2017 and 2018), Kingston's professors contributions during the iaelyon International Week...
Projects are thriving with Kingston: in January 2023, an off-shore seminar will take place at Kingston University during the iaelyon 17th International Week.

From Isabelle and Laure, IMBA class of 2022

I participated in this study trip because it was an opportunity for me to discover a foreign university, a different way of teaching and to meet new people in line with the MBA' teaching. I believe this trip was the "cherry on top" of our year, a possiblity to learn and travel.

This seminar opened my eyes on new concepts, not by making us believe we mastered the subject but by inviting us to deepen our interest and question ourselves on the usefulness of automation in our worklife. I now wish to develop my RPA skills with the UI Path Academy.
Be that as it may, I truly encourage to set up a "Leadership Lab Week" to maintain and upgrades our knowledge.
Isabelle Charlin

I didn't think the RPA technology was so accomplished. In my mind, it was still an emerging technology. I realized that it was at the standardization stage and that the AI and the process mining gave it a power I did not expect. The marketing approach of its producs, how they are sold, their limits and avdantages were presented in a tangible way.
